| Honestly, I find many of the strange spellings on here rather charming. Education was limited and names were often recorded phonetically, so the name Henrietta would be spelled Henryetter. Other names, such as Casket or Mourning, may have been given to a newborn who did not survive. That, however, is no excuse for names like Anarchy and Dimples. |
